How to sell 2000 shares in 4 weeks: use social media!

My last blogpost was about the course working 2.0 and the book we (i.e. the students) are preparing. To make publication possible, we had to sell 2000 shares of 5 euro each via the website tenpages.com.
Thanks to the social networks of 50 students and some teachers we managed to sell all the shares in only 4 weeks!

We received support from people we didn't know before: thanks to all our tweets, blogposts, facebook-messages people learned about our plans and decided to buy shares.
Guru's of the new way of working, founders of leading websites, companies: they are really interested in the vision of generation Y towards the New way of working. And in meantime we receive invitations to give presentations on conferences. A nice support for our students who spend lots of energy to write and edit the book.
It will take some time before the book is ready, but it will be worth waiting!
